Liv Thompson
Meet Liv
Liv is a Media Student currently making a short film about celebrity lookalikes. She has a hectic student lifestyle and in between Uni and homework, she Nannys three times per week. Sometimes Liv will eat two main meals per day: one whilst she is nannying and a meal when she gets home, or she goes out with friends afterwards. Overall she is an irregular eater. Even though she’s diabetic, Liv loves sweets and keeps a massive sweetie jar next to her bed stocked up with things like Haribo’s, Buttermints and Maltesers which she will dip into a couple of times a day.
Liv admits she is a lazy cook. She makes a lot of pastas with tomato sauce and cheeses and one of her favourite quick dishes is pre-bought mash potato with tomato sauce and cheese mixed in. Another is microwaveable Chilli Con Carne. Liv’s signature dish is her chicken stir fry curry which is made using full fat coconut milk and lots of oil which she makes when friends come over.
Liv does like to eat out a lot at Nando’s and she has takeaways quite often. She eats a lot of ready meals for convenience and has at least one packet of crisps per day. She cites salt ‘n’ vinegar flavour crisps as a challenge because she licks the strong flavourings off the crisps before eating them!
Liv’s weight fluctuates, she can usually shed a few pounds for the summer but is generally heavier in the winter. Liv used to be skinny but was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes aged 14 and she then started to put weight on.
As a student money is tight and Liv can’t afford to buy more clothes for the changing weather so she wants to slim down to fit into the clothes that she’s got.
